Product Information:
Introducing the newest awesome Sluice Box design. Not only is Geo Sluice Mining making the Le’Trap (tm), but we’ve designed a new smaller version that weighs less than a pound and can be placed into a backpack. This is inexpensive to ship, very rugged and comes in two colors, Green and Black. Soon this will be available in Blue as well as all of our sluice boxes and products.
This runs in both fast water and slow water. This works well on clean ups because of the slow water design. So far these have been selling like hotcakes so order your early. we will try to keep them in stock.
Most Gold is caught within the first 4 Riffles. The Le Trap was always known as the “Bank Robber” and “River Robber” Sluice Box and the Le’ Trap Mini comes in both versions also. It is incredibly lightweight and will always catch fine gold and large nuggets. The Le Trap sluice weighs less than 1 pound, so it is very easy to fit into a backpack.
Operation Information:
The really unique thing about the Le’ Trap Mini ™ is that you don’t need to have fast running water. In the faster water, simply angle the sluice at a flatter angle, around 5 to 7 degrees. With slower water, you can angle the sluice slightly more. However our experience is this sluice runs really flat and processes the Gold well. The flared riffle design causes the water flow to slow as it passes through the sluice, just like a river. The flare causes the water to slow causing a low pressure area for Gold to drop easily, resulting in optimum gold recovery.
Remember all those time carrying heavy metal sluice boxes? That is the past. This sluice is made of high impact ABS plastic and will take a lot of abuse. This ABS is the same used in many products today like Lego’s, Garbage Cans, Dash Boards in cars, Etc. This ABS is designed to be used outdoors in extreme elements and that is why we use this product to produce these wonderful sluices for our customers.
